I am Flavio Morani,
the second son of Master Volturno Morani, founder of spatial neoconstructivism. The pages of this website, the halls of the San Prospero Pinacoteca, the organization of events, everything is done with the will of myself, my brothers, and my mother, to give testimony to an incredible story that crosses the laws of the cosmos, quantum physics, passing through the emotions of art and painting, all the way to the hearts of people with a destination to eternity!
When Master Volturno Morani, my father, passed away from an incurable tumor on November 3, 2004, I had just become a recent graduate. I had discussed my thesis a few days earlier, on October 21. I still remember that summer, full of sacrifices to try to graduate on time so that my father could be present, knowing that the illness would take him away soon. In September, his condition worsened, and he was almost completely bedridden.
He had already been unable to get up for several days, but on October 21, the last day he wrote anything in his agenda, the last day the date appeared on his calendar composed with the dice of days, months, and weeks, he still made the effort to come to the university to see his son graduate. The events of that day, unforgettable to me, I will later narrate in person to those who come to visit the pinacoteca.
During the last conversations, before he lost consciousness completely, I still clearly remember his words: “think about it…”, without telling me what he was referring to. This phrase, combined with his will, full of meaning and values, in which he emphasized that we should inherit ONLY THE PAINTINGS and THE BOOKS, became the driving forces behind my actions over these twenty years.
At that time, I was just a recent graduate in economics, already holding a high school diploma in accounting, with very few skills in the artistic, theological, and scientific fields. Like many children, I had never dealt with my parents’ matters, as they seemed distant from my academic and career goals. And my father’s works represented a mystery that I wasn’t particularly interested in.
After my father’s passing, material matters filled my days, until 2010, the year I can certainly date my rebirth to a life lived in a spiritual sense. This happened after some events that we can certainly define as mystical… and they too will be the subject of storytelling for the visitors to the gallery.
After numerous artistic activities carried out with my family, my mother first… on the 20th anniversary of the death of Master Morani, we finally inaugurated the permanent exhibition on the ground floor of Casa Blu di Volturno Morani, his last earthly dwelling. 300 square meters of works divided between two main halls, a small library where we keep the books on which the master was formed, and a tea cellar.
The purpose of this permanent exhibition is to illustrate to visitors the origin and evolution of SPATIAL NEO-CONSTRUCTIVISM. The origin, through the vision and contemplation of the works of Volturno Morani. The evolution through the creation of a path aimed at continuing spatial neoconstructivism by identifying a new generation of painters and artists of spatial neoconstructivism in the 21st century.
It is to realize this mission that Casa Blu di Volturno Morani builds relationships with galleries, institutions, schools, and academies to investigate spatial neoconstructivism and launch the school of spatial neoconstructivism, giving life to a true movement that rediscovers the beauty of building the future by looking to space, re-embracing spirituality and faith in the present.
