This #neocostructivism-style work by VOLTURNO MORANI belongs to a collection of 7 works that make up, put together, the PRAYER OF OUR FATHER.
This in fact is the last verse of the Prayer.
In this work we see two series of Circles/waves emanating from two energetic epicenters. Mary, mother of God, in Blue and the Christ, in red. These two energy fields, obviously in red hue as they represent spiritual energy, come to intersect and form subsets of energy and salvific moments. Real areas of salvation, where Our Lady’s prayers of invocation and the Father’s decisive intervention meet. Why Mary in Blue? Mary in this context is represented with the face of the author’s wife. Morani wants to tell us that it was the encounter with his Wife, the love that emanated from it, that got him back on the right path and led him to eternal salvation. For all of us this encounter is with Mary, for it is written in Genesis that she will be the one to crush the Devil’s head and keep us from darkness. To invoke Our Lady’s intercession, which will manifest itself for each of us in the form of that encounter, that help, that perhaps unexpected event that will mark the beginning of the end of our suffering, of our imprisonment in which we have, in spite of ourselves, found ourselves because we have unwittingly strayed from a path of true freedom, toward a deceptive freedom, which is the one the world proposes to us.
Happy path to freedom to all!
